Vintage Gallet Chronograph-valjoux 72-signed Stainless Steel Case-nice

  

Vintage Stainless Steel Gallet Chronograph with Valjoux 72. Stainless steel snapback case measures 34.1mm X 43.9mm, not including the crown.

Case is signed Gallet and appears unpolished/untouched with sharp lugs, but shows marks from age and use. Caseback signed Gallet & Co Switzerland, 30367, 163. Vintage acrylic crystal with marks from age and use. Original 2-tone finish silver dial with blued stick hands.

As pictured the dial does show some marks/wear/patina and discoloration at the edges due to age. Still very nice, and most importantly original, for a square pusher chronograph from this era. The 17J Gallet signed Valjoux 72 movement winds/sets and runs well, and is currently keeping time. The chronograph was tested several times, for different intervals, and it started/stopped/and resetted just as it should.

However, service history is unknown and as with all vinyage watches a service at the new owners expense might be required for optimal timekeeping and function. This watch comes on the vintage military canvas strap it has likely had since it was nearly new.

If a different strap is desired by the new owner, we usually have other straps available at cost. Perfect opportunity to get a great deal, do not miss out on this one! Would make a great gift!
