Vintage 1967 Gretsch Chet Atkins Tennessean 6119 Hollowbody Electric w/HSC, Original Body/Neck/Pickguard, Faded Walnut Finish, TV Jones TV-HT1 Hilo'Tron Pickups, Bigsby Vibrato, Neck Reset by Master Luthier, Ed Beaver & Autographed by Fred Gretsch!!

Today, we're very pleased to offer this Vintage 1967 Gretsch Chet Atkins Tennessean 6119 Hollowbody Electric w/Hardshell Case! It shows noticeable cosmetic wear one would expect with a vintage instrument, yet is in excellent playing condition! It features the original body/neck/pickguard and has been outfitted with TV Jones TV-HT1 Hilo'Tron pickups, replacement hardware and new electronics. A professional neck reset was performed by renowned Nashville, TN master luthier, Ed Beaver and the back of the headstock was autographed by Fred Gretsch! This road-worn, but very aesthetically pleasing Gretsch gives off a very cool vintage vibe and has TONS of mojo, baby!

Comes in a BRAND NEW Guardian hardshell case. The laminate maple body shows scratches, dings, pressure dimples and finish checking/chips throughout, as well as noticeable age-related shrinkage/cracks/yellowing of the binding. These imperfections are cosmetic in nature only, however, as the instrument is very structurally sound! As previously mentioned, the 2-piece maple neck was professionally reset by renowned Nashville, TN master luthier, Ed Beaver! Frets and fingerboard show moderate wear, though play is not affected. Like the body, the fingerboard binding shows noticeable shrinkage/cracks/yellowing. Some noticeable chipping of the biding can also be detected on the bass side at the 21st fret position. Minor indentations and a finish crack down the middle can be seen on back of neck.

Scratches, dings and finish cracks/chips can be found on headstock and nameplate is absent. The top was repainted at some point and the four screw holes where the nameplate was mounted were professionally filled (these are barely visible and can only be detected at just the right angle and in the right light).

Gretsch logo and horseshoe eblem are hand painted. Back of headstock was hand-signed by none other Fred Gretsch himself when he attended our store's grand reopening on 3/3/12! Pickups:TV Jones TV-HT1 Hilo'Tron single-coil pickups and all-new electronics. Non-original hardware is in very good condition with light, normal scratches on the Bigsby.
