Vintage 1940s Ampro Precision Equipment Neon Sign Advertising Panellit

  

This is a vintage neon advertising sign for the Ampro Precision Ciné Equipment Co. The sign was manufactured by Panellit Displays, Inc. This sign is from the personal estate of the owners of the famous, but now defunct, Falls City Theatre Co.

It was part of a promotional advertising display there many years ago. The sign glows in two colors: pink and green. Ampro was bought by Precision Equipment in 1944 and the last known new Ampro products were seen in 1957 after a slow and lengthy decline. Based on that, and the appearance of it compared to others, we are assuming this to be from the late 1940s.
