Original On The Air Brass Lighted Sign Radio Studio Vintage Recording Antique

This is a cool old lighted ON THE AIR sign box , please read for details and look at all of the pictures. Most of the metal is brass, but the piece that goes against the wall is tin with some surface rust. The box by itself measures about 8 1/2" by 4 3/4" and 4 1/8 front to back. The frame comes off by loosening the thumbscrew, and the lens can be removed and changed if you'd rather it say something else. The lens is white plexiglass with a black painted surface, I'm pretty sure it's not as old as the rest of it but it still has a nice look. The pipe is loose where it goes into the box, it needs to be tinkered with and maybe a new socket and re-wired. And will go further and say if I were going to use it I would put a smaller, bright, low-heat bulb in it. It's how it was when I got it and I haven't messed with it. I'm not sure of the age but I know it's old, and it's pretty unique, I haven't seen another like it!
